Hi.

No one cares about your life story, or how that meal made you feel on that brisk summer day 8 years ago.

Thin Crust Pizza Dough

Thin Crust Pizza Dough

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup lukewarm water

  • 1 1/2 tsp instant yeast or active dry yeast

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 - 3/4 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 3 Tbsp olive oil

  • Whatever sauce and toppings you want

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 450° F

  • In a medium size bowl, whisk together the lukewarm water and yeast until the yeast dissolves

  • Add flour and the remaining ingredients to the water/yeast, stirring to make a cohesive, somewhat sticky dough. The dough should only be mildly sticky, and easy to work with. If it is sticking to your fingers, mix in additional flour

  • Divide the dough in half, pat each half into a disk, and place on a lightly floured surface. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes

  • Roll out dough on a baking sheet (you and use your fingers to help spread the dough out some)

  • Add desired toppings

    • You need less sauce and cheese than you think you need (especially mozz, that shit spreads and sweats)

  • Bake for about 10-12 minutes, until the crust is brown and the toppings are cooked through

If using a pizza stone:

  • Place stone in oven while it is preheating

  • When you are spreading out the dough, place it between 2 pieces of parchment paper

  • Remove top parchment paper and add toppings

  • Remove the stone from the oven, and place the dough (with the bottom piece of parchment paper) onto the stone

  • Bake for about 8 minutes. Crust should be brown and toppings cooked through
