Thin Crust Pizza Dough
Ingredients:
2/3 cup lukewarm water
1 1/2 tsp instant yeast or active dry yeast
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 - 3/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
3 Tbsp olive oil
Whatever sauce and toppings you want
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450° F
In a medium size bowl, whisk together the lukewarm water and yeast until the yeast dissolves
Add flour and the remaining ingredients to the water/yeast, stirring to make a cohesive, somewhat sticky dough. The dough should only be mildly sticky, and easy to work with. If it is sticking to your fingers, mix in additional flour
Divide the dough in half, pat each half into a disk, and place on a lightly floured surface. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes
Roll out dough on a baking sheet (you and use your fingers to help spread the dough out some)
Add desired toppings
You need less sauce and cheese than you think you need (especially mozz, that shit spreads and sweats)
Bake for about 10-12 minutes, until the crust is brown and the toppings are cooked through
If using a pizza stone:
Place stone in oven while it is preheating
When you are spreading out the dough, place it between 2 pieces of parchment paper
Remove top parchment paper and add toppings
Remove the stone from the oven, and place the dough (with the bottom piece of parchment paper) onto the stone
Bake for about 8 minutes. Crust should be brown and toppings cooked through
